Sensei Bill Hunter

Sensei Bill Hunter began training in Tashu Karate in 1971 under Sensei Jim MacArthur.Sensei Hunter took over the duties of Head Instructor in 1982. Currently a 5th Dan Black Belt, Sensei has been a successful instructor and tournament competitor for over 30 years, winning many regional and national titles.

Since 2004 Sensei Hunter has won the NBL Heavyweight World Championship in the seniors division five times. He now plans to retire from this level of competition so that he can devote his energy to creating a world class school for his students in New Westminster.

Sensei Hunter is also active as a referee, judge and coach at the national and world level and actively promotes Sport Martial Arts events in the Pacific Northwest region. In addition, Sensei holds a professional teaching certificate from the BC Ministry of Education.
